 Porcelaines Avignon was founded in Bruère-Allichamps in 1870 by Mr. Dubois and has always oriented its production towards innovation and specialisation in porcelain and technical ceramics.
In 1976, the company is taken over by Mr. Detroyes who decides to put the company in accordance with his time.
In 1991, he turns towards ceramic cores for investment casting used in aerospace, automotive industry, medical,... thanks to a transfer of technology from Snecma Moteurs.
Progressively, Porcelaines Avignon develops its process in order to offer, from 2002, bigger ceramic cores designed for IGT (Industrial Gas Turbine).
On the other hand, from 2003, the company introduces a quality management system, accredited to ISO 9001:2000 by BVQI.
In 2004, a new department of wax injection and assembly is created.
Porcelaines Avignon becomes Avignon Ceramic in 2007, and doubles its production capacity for ceramic cores between 2008 and 2009.
Avignon Ceramic has recently been renewed its quality accreditation according to last version ISO9001:2008, and also obtained its accreditation to EN9100:2003 for aerospace products.

Avignon Ceramic will exhibit at the next Paris Airshow to be held from 20th to 26th of June 2011 in Paris - Le Bourget.

July 2010 : new CAD system
Avignon Ceramic recently invested in a new CAD system to read following files : UGNX, CATIA V4 V5, SOLID EDGE, SDRC, PROENG as natives and IGS, STP, X_T / X_B, DXF / DWG as standard interfaces.
16-19 May 2010 : EICF Conference in Krakow, Poland
Avignon Ceramic will be present in Krakow, Poland, from May 16 till May 19, to the Expo organised by the European Investment Casting Federation in parallel to the conferences. You can come and visit us stand no. 16.
2010 : OSEO Excellence
Jean-Paul Detroyes, President of Avignon Ceramic, was distinguished as Member from OSEO Excellence by OSEO experts, for his entrepreneurial qualities and his development willingness.
12-13 October 2009 : ICI Conference & Expo in Indianapolis, USA
Avignon Ceramic will be present in Indianapolis, USA, on October 12 and 13, 2009, to the Expo organised by the Investment Casting institute in parallel to the 56th Technical Conference. Let's come and visit us Booth #40.
6 October 2009 : Label for Responsible and Sustainable Company
On October 6th, 2009, Avignon Ceramic becomes the first company from its region (Centre) to be granted the Label for Responsible and Sustainable Company by the National Center for Industrial Risks (CNRI, Centre National des Risques Industriels) and the piloting committee "Performance of Small and Medium Companies" (Performance PME), for its respect of the nine recommendations of the Charter for Responsible and Sustainable Companies.
11 September 2009 : QUALITY CERTIFICATIONS
Avignon Ceramic successfully obtained the EN9100:2003 certification (aeronautics) in September 2009, in addition to the renewal of the ISO9001:2008.
15-21 June 2009 : Paris Air Show in Le Bourget
As every 2 years, Avignon Ceramic exhibits at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget. Let's come and visit us Hall 4, Ilot CD92.
2009 : AVIGNON CERAMIC EXTENDS ITS CAPACITY
In order to face increasing demand, Avignon Ceramic recently invested in a new building of 1000m² and in the related equipment (presses, kilns, mixers, CNC machines, ...). With this extension, now fully operational, Avignon Ceramic employs more than 100 people.
